WACA TV to host the First Annual Ashland Film Festival on Thursday, June 14 from 7:30 to 9:30 PM at Worcester Showcase Cinema North 135 Brooke Street Worcester All WACA TV producers, Ashland Residents, and Residents from any town bordering Ashland are eligible. Deadline for DVD or Blu-ray submission is May 25. All videos must be 5 minutes or less. The top three videos chosen will play on the Worcester Showcase screen on June 14. All video submissions that meet cablecast requirements will play on the WACA TV Public Channel
Art in the Library Downstairs Picture Gallery Randy LeSage; "Paintings, Prints, & Drawings" May 1 -- June 9 Randy LeSage has been creating & teaching art for many years in our area this exhibit will include paintings, prints, drawings, and mixed media works created over the past several decades His works has been exhibited in galleries, museums and other locations in the greater Metro West area Upstairs Display Case "Original Art Dolls" by Lois McAuliffe May 1 -- June 10 On display in the glass case this month are one-of-a-kind art dolls created by Lois McAuliffe, Director of Children's services at the Ashland Public Library The large dolls have head, hands and feet sculpted from polymer clay included in the display are storybook princesses and tweens having fun at a slumber party
